Foundation Wear Test: Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r

FullSizeRender 12

Long time, no post, I know! But I’m back with a super original post (kidding). When I saw Rihanna was coming out with her own makeup line Fenty Beauty, I was already sold. Her line is very diverse launching with 40 foundation shades. YES, 40! With different under tones. The Pro Filt’r foundation is $34 (I honestly expected it to be more) and has a soft matte finish with a medium coverage. Let’s get into the wear test, shall we?

These photos are the start of the day, right after application. I’m shade 190. I 100% agree with the soft matte claim. I’m not shiny, but it’s still so light weight and comfortable. There have been claims that the foundation oxidizes but I don’t really agree with that. I do see that it gets a touch darker when it dries, but to me oxidizes means that it gets orange and way darker.

Mid-day check-in. This is after about 4 hours of wear and working out! Still not oily. However, you can see it does sort of cling to the little bumps on my forehead. So I would say if you have dry skin, this might not be your favorite.

End of day check-in. As you can see, I did get a touch shiny. I didn’t touch up once! I love the end of day result because it looks like skin. I would definitely say this foundation is long-wear. It didn’t get patchy or fade throughout the day. I’m super impressed and have to say this is now in my top 3 foundations for sure!

What did you pick up from Fenty Beauty? Let me know in the comments!
