Drugstore Spotlight: Wet ‘N Wild Beauty

IMG_1644.JPG

There has been a huge hype about Wet ‘N Wild lately since they released some new products. So I decided to buy a bunch of their stuff to test out, old and new. I wanted to share my thoughts with you in case you were curious about the brand 🙂

First off, it’s insanely affordable. I didn’t see anything over $7, and my local Walmart had stuff even cheaper than what is listed on the Wet ‘N Wild website. Another bonus, they’re cruelty-free! Now to the review…

Mega Glo Highlighting Powders $4.99

I bought the only two shades “Crown of My Canopy” and “Previous Petal”. I do wish there were more shades. However, for $4.99 these are amazing!! They are not chunky or glittery at all, nice and smooth! I 1000% recommend these!

I mean look at that highlight! I’m wearing “Precious Petal” here.

Mega Glo Contour Palette & Highlighting Palette $4.99 each

Holy smokes! This contour palette is better than high end ones I’ve tried. It’s very pigmented, use a light hand. Its so smooth and buttery! Highly recommend! The highlighting palette, however, ehhhh. I had high hopes after trying the other highlighting powders but this formula is different. It’s not terrible, but it is more glittery. I will probably still use it, but I’d say pass on this.

MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Lipstick $4.99 each

The hype of these on YouTube and Instagram is real. I love liquid lipstick, mainly because you don’t have to reapply as much as you would with a cream. These are some of the best I’ve tried, better than a lot of high end brands I’ve tried. They actually remind me a lot of the dose of colors formula. These are the shades Nudeist peach, Noodie Patootie and Coral Corruption. Also highly recommend these!

Mega Cushion Color Corrector $5.99

I bought the shade peach to use to cancel out darkness under my eyes. This is not bad at all. I just don’t particularly like that it is in a cushion form. But for $5.99, it’s not bad. It just very pigmented and dries matte – but not drying. Here it is swatched with the lip colors.

Ultimate Brow Kit $3.99

I bought these because I’m also doing a drugstore eyebrow comparison, so I won’t spoil that too much. But it is long wearing and easy to apply! I wear the shade Ash Brown.

Photo Focus Foundation $5.99

I bought this because I saw Casey Holmes video where she did a wear test and she seemed pretty impressed with it. I won’t go into too much detail here either because I do have a full foundation wear test that goes live tomorrow 🙂 BUT I will say that i am very impressed by this foundation for $5.99! And I do really recommend it, especially if you are looking for a quality foundation on a budget.

Color Icon Blush $2.99

I forgot to take a picture of this 🙂 This blush is amazing! I bought Rose Champagne. It honestly reminds me a lot of the Nars blushes. for $2.99 are you kidding me?! go get it!

Here I am wearing the foundation, the blush in Rose Champagne, the mega cushion corrector and the ultimate brow kit. Pretty good right, for so cheap?!

Conclusion

The must-haves from my purchases are definitely the foundation, the lipsticks, the highlights, the contour kit and the blushes! Sooo… I think you need pretty much all of it. Hehe. You can click the pictures to go directly to Wet ‘N Wild’s website. Keep a look out for my foundation wear-test coming tomorrow!

  1. Wow, it’s been years since I’ve used Wet n Wild! But that highlighter looks great on you! It’s funny, I owe a very similar highlighter from Anastasia Beverly Hills and it cost an arm and a leg. Should’ve just bought this one, haha.
