October Beauty Favorites

I know everyone says this, but how the hell is it already November? Anyways, here’s my monthly beauty favorites!

Too Faced Hangover RX Primer

I am actually surprised at how much I like this primer because I have combination oily skin. I received a tiny sample of this in an ipsy bag and loved it so much I bought a bigger one. Since I started the birth control pill, my skin has become less oily. So if you have super oily skin, you probably won’t like this. It provides great moisture to your skin and creates a nice base for makeup. I wouldn’t say it prolongs makeup wear too much but it does keep it from breaking down all patchy at the end of the day.

Cala Angled Blush Brush

I found this cutie at Marshalls for $5.99! Yes, I bought it for the beautiful rose gold handle. However, this brush is actually amazing! Super soft and doesn’t shed. I’m not sure where else you can get these brushes but I will look for more next time I go. Don’t sleep on Marshalls, y’all.

Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick in Queen B

I’m not a huge pink lipstick fan, I usually prefer nudes. But this pink, OMG! It’s so wearable and cool toned. I could see this being an everyday pink for so many skin tones!

Flower Beauty Zoom Mascara

This has become easily my top 3 mascara’s of all time! and it’s drugstore!! The downside is Flower Beauty is only sold at Walmart and I despise Walmart but will make a special trip to hell just to get this. It has an adjustable wand so it volumizes, lengthens and separates! I can’t say enough good things about this mascara, it’s better than a lot of high end ones I’ve tried.

Flower Beauty Translucent Loose Powder

Another one from Flower Beauty. This is honestly the best loose powder I have ever tried! It keeps you matte all day long without getting cakey! It is also great for setting under eye concealer. I’m so impressed with these flower beauty products and if anyone has tried anything that they recommend from this brand, let me know!

NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner

HOLY COW! These are my new holy grail lip liners. I used to really only buy MAC ones, but I have been trying to go cruelty-free. These are even better than the MAC ones! I have used the NYX lip liners before the slim ones and the mechanical, however, these are new and improved. They are super pigmented and matte, yet creamy! They are also long-wearing. Did I mention they are only $3.99?? So you can buy 3 or 4 for the price of one Mac liner. I have the shades Los Angeles and London.

Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castille Soap

I’m sure everyone has seen this stuff before and there are a million uses for it. I saw Katy (LustreLuxe) talk about this on YouTube to use to clean your makeup brushes. So I found little mini ones at target to test out. Honestly, my brushes have never been so clean using this! And what I love is that its natural so it will help prolong the life of your brushes as well. It’s also a lot cheaper than makeup brush cleaners. This tiny bottle was around $1.50.

What were some of your favorites this month? I love trying new things!

  1. I’ve heard the solid form of that soap is the dupe of the beautyblender cleanser. I’ll def need to give it a go! I love that too faced melted lip color 🙂 It’s gorgeous! I have a sample of that primer lying around somewhere, I’m pumped to use it since I have combo skin too!
